FEDERAL GRAND JURY IN FORT WAYNE RETURNS INDICTMENTS

Fort Wayne, INCThe United States Attorney's Office announced that a Grand Jury sitting in Fort Wayne, Indiana, returned the following Indictment on June 27, 2012:

Manuel Rivera, 30, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is charged in a single count Indictment with misuse of a social security number on or about September 2011. This charge was filed as a result of an investigation by the Indiana State Police, a member of the Federal Identity Theft Task Force. This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.

The United States Attorney's Office emphasized that an Indictment is merely an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.

If convicted in court, any specific sentence to be imposed will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
